Hamza and Son

Both Abu Hamza and his eldest son, Mohammed Kamel Mostafa, are in the news. The father is appealing against his convictions for incitement, on the basis that he only incited foreigners to kill. The son, meanwhile, was discovered to be working for London Underground, despite having been convicted of plotting terrorism against British targets in Yemen.

A few weeks ago it was revealed that Hamza had bought himself a £220,000 house despite having his assets frozen and using legal aid to fight his case. Today, the Evening Standard reports that Hamza had exploited a loophole and passed his house to his son; Mohammed Kamel Mostafa.

And just as Ken Livingstone insists that children not be affected by their parents' crimes, senior police sources told the paper that Mostafa should have had his assets frozen as well.
