Not Strictly My Area

Although this isn't directly linked to Islamic terrorism, it is still slightly relevant. Ken "Imam" Livingstone, is worried that he may be forced out of office due to bankruptcy. His legal costs for appealing his suspension are estimated at £250,000 and he may have to pay those himself. He told LBC radio, "If he [the judge] awarded the costs against me and I couldn't raise the money, I would be barred from office any how." He did suggest an alternative:

"I wouldn't have any choice. I don't have a quarter of a million pounds. If the costs are awarded against me, we shall have to have an appeal to the workers and peasants of the world to raise funds to keep me in office."
