Muslim Pleads Guilty to "Dirty Bomb" Plot

A Muslim man pleaded guilty today to planning a series of terrorist attacks in both the US and the UK. Dhiren Barot plans involved filling limousines with gas cylinders and detonating them in underground car parks. Another was to acquire a radioactive bomb. Sentencing will be at a later date.

The BBC report typically fails to provide some other useful background information. At the time, the US also indicted him and security services there told CNN that he was an Al Qaeda operative, although that wasn't put officially on the indictment.

In other terrorism related news, 4 men appeared in court again for terrorism charges. They are connected to the raid of a restaurant in London and a private Islamic School said to be used for training terrorists.
