Man Charged with Terror Smuggling

A man is due in court charged with trying to smuggle items, from London to Islamabad, that would be used for terrorism. The items included two metal batons, a night-vision scope, £9,000 in cash and terror manuals.

This isn't the first time that terrorists have used Britain to supply their terrorism in other parts of the world. At the trial of Omar Khyam it was claimed that the fertiliser bought to make explosives was to be shipped to Pakistan for use there.

Has Britain's security become so lax that it is being used as a base of supply for terrorists abroad?
