Halal Off the Menu
In another twist to the strange saga of the Worcester Halal meat, the supplier has taken it off the menu. Last week I mentioned this and wanted to know why they were serving Halal meat in the first place given that it is more expensive than normal meat?
They certainly weren't doing it to accommodate Muslim children because they never told anyone they were doing so. And now it has emerged that the Halal meat was only in a dish served once every three weeks.
If anything my question is now harder to answer. Why was a catering company providing expensive Halal meat once every three weeks without telling anyone? Please send answers on a postcard...
